In the functional sofa category focusing on enjoyment and leisure, the mainstream style is no longer contemporary/modern style (accounting for 34%), but casual style (accounting for 37%). In addition, 17% are traditional styles.

In terms of style and price distribution, it can be seen that contemporary/modern styles are the most popular among high-end products (above US$2200), accounting for 44%. But in all other price ranges, casual styles dominate. The traditional style is still mediocre.
In terms of fabrics, textile fabrics are still the mainstream choice, accounting for 51%, followed by leather accounting for 30%.

From the perspective of the distribution of styles and price bands, FurnitureToday found that contemporary/modern styles account for the highest proportion of high-end prices (over $2,000), reaching 43%, and they are popular in all price bands.
Casual style is the most popular in the low-end price range (under US$499), accounting for 39%, followed by the mid-to-high-end price range ($900~1499), accounting for 37%. It can be said that casual style is also very popular in various price bands.
In fact, whether it is traditional style or country style, it is gradually declining as American consumers change. This is just as in China, traditional Chinese furniture is gradually weakening, replaced by more modern and casual products, and new Chinese furniture that has gradually evolved from Chinese.

In the application of fabrics, recliners and functional sofas are quite similar. Textiles and leathers, which are comfortable to the touch, account for 46% and 35%, respectively, and artificial leather accounts for only 8%.
In the style of fabrics and price bands, it can be seen that leather is used in more than 66% of high-end products (over $1,500). In the mid-to-high-end and lower product price bands, textile fabrics are the most widely used, and the lower the price, the wider the application of textile fabrics. This is also in line with the difference between the cost of the two materials and the difficulty of processing.
